Life After PRIME with Janelle White-Fernandez

Hear from our vendors as they navigate life after PRIME.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your business?

My name is Janelle White-Fernandez and I am the owner of J’Couture. My business J’Couture is focused on making handmade crochet bags. Our aim is to continuously grow and evolve so we offer a wide range of crochet bags in a variety of styles and colours.

What motivated you to participate in P.R.I.M.E.?

When I discovered that I possessed such talent to produce such immaculate work, I was motivated to participate in P.R.I.M.E. back in 2022.
The love that I have developed for making crochet bags and the positive feedback from my customers has fueled me to continue attending P.R.I.M.E over the years.

How has participating in P.R.I.M.E. impacted your business?

Participating in P.R.I.M.E. has aided me to market my business not only locally but regionally and in some ways internationally.  P.R.I.M.E has also inspired me to go the extra mile which resulted in me launching my J’Couture website.

Did you notice an increase in sales or customer interest after the expo?

I did notice an increase in sales or customer interest after the P.R.I.M.E expo. It also contributed to the wealth of orders for my bags that I had to fulfill.

What advice would you give to new vendors considering participating in P.R.I.M.E.?

The advice I would give to new vendors who are considering to participate in P.R.I.M.E. would be to register and take this opportunity to spread the word about your business.

Don’t be afraid to introduce your product to the local market but to also be open to gain feedback as to how you can improve your product. Go for it!!
